Nederlands Instituut voor Meerpartijendemocratie

On April 24-25, 2009, Zimbabwean Ministers Elton Mangoma, (Economic Planning and Industry) and Welshman Ncube (Industry and Commerce) visited The Netherlands on their first trip to Europe since the inauguration of the new tripartite government in February 2008.

The Ministers were invited by the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) to discuss the possibility of re-engagement with Zimbabwe by the international donor community. Both Ministers are prominent members of former opposition parties: Mr Mangoma is Deputy Treasurer of MDC-Tsvangirai, party, Mr Ncube is Secretary General of MDC-Mutambara.
