The NIMD programme in Mozambique supports political party development and initiatives that contribute to the depolarisation of the political system. It facilitates debates and promotes dialogue on political issues at the provincial level.

• Resistência Nacional Moçambicana-União Eleitoral (Renamo-UE)
• The ruling party Renamo, opposition party Frelimo and a network of extraparliamentary opposition parties - CPDM (Centre for the Promotion of Multiparty Democracy in Mozambique) - have all indicated that they intend to participate in an initial meeting to discuss the formation of an interparty dialogue platform.
• By learning to work together and implement cross-party activities, CPDM managed to increase the cooperation between the extraparliamentary parties.
